Antique White Enamelware Colander /Strainer - Wide Base and Blue Handles
A beautiful large antique porcelain enamelware colander/strainer with double blue handles and a very unique wide base. It is a large pot with solid white sides and perforation along the width of the bottom.
The colander measures 11" across at the top (approximately 13 1/2" from handle to handle), 5" high and stands on a base that is 9 1/2" across. For its age, it is in very good overall vintage condition. It shows signs of use and age, with a number of areas of rust and some dings in the enamel. The most significant area of rust is on the underside of the strainer as well as areas around the handles. These imperfections only serve to add to the overall rustic, farmhouse appeal of this piece.
This fantastic find is a tremendous example of quality workmanship from yesteryear and could be used in a multitude of home decor styles and designs.
